about

Hi, my name is Jessica Compton, and I founded Tree of Stars in 2017. Since it began, Tree of Stars has been dedicated to promoting mental health and addiction recovery awareness.

Since April 2017, I have been peer-supporting in the community by running my own outreach events and sharing my story. I call it ‘The A Blog – Abandoned, Abducted, Abused, ADD, Addicted, Arrested’ -- it’s always a journey that’s for sure.

This is a community I know well. I graduated from the Correctional Worker program at Niagara College, and I have 15 years of experience as a Child and Youth Worker. I currently work full-time as an Educational Assistant, since September of 2013.

I have many passions. I love adventuring with my camera; journalling; playing guitar; and learning new things like junk journal and new instruments.

Everyone I come in contact with, I meet with so much gratitude. I will always love listening to other people's stories and struggling together and not alone.
